It means 'outsider' and was used by non Jews in Ethiopia to describe them. They called themselves Beit Yisrael.Tania and Andrew on Pegasushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15534788508242366703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7881402584568285627.post-40046657606702344822010-03-01T13:46:33.597-08:002010-03-01T13:46:33.597-08:00Private real Education?Private real Education?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7881402584568285627.post-81727541768392238932010-03-01T12:29:43.331-08:002010-03-01T12:29:43.331-08:00I think education is a much more appropriate word ...I think education is a much more appropriate word that schooling, which tends to be associated with the counter-productive methods and institutions being avoided.

Either way, I don't much like the 'Home' part, which reinforces that bizarre concept of children confined to a 'schoolroom' in the house during daylight hours.

How about Real Education - i.e. in the real world, as opposed to behind the closed doors (and these days 8 foot high fences and metal detectors) of an institution?CiaranGhttp://ciarang.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7881402584568285627.post-81440540699568657392010-03-01T07:23:13.444-08:002010-03-01T07:23:13.444-08:00we call it private home education that always upse...we call it private home education that always upsets the DCSF/Balls tell him its a private home education for your child.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
