Well, well, everything now seems to be coming together about the operations of Alison Sauer and her friends. I think that I have a pretty good picture of how it has all been working, although Jacquie Cox has certainly produced a few surprising rabbits from the hat! Mind you, she may not be a completely reliable and objective witness herself. For example, she claims that only she and Alison Sauer were involved in the EHE guidelines; Alison writing them and she, Jacquie, doing the proof reading. This would mean that Rainbow-Leaf Lovejoy is not telling the truth when she claims that it was her doing the proof reading. I do not know either of these two women well enough to judge who is telling the truth about this.
Last year I had quite a few dealings with Tania Berlow, at her instigation. She sent me her telephone number and urged me several times to get in touch. It now appears that this was all being reported back to Jacquie Cox and Alison Sauer, which I did not realise. This means that I no longer feel any need to maintain confidentiality about anything Tania told me and I shall be going into this at a later date. Something which is interesting is that Alison Sauer apparently assigned a man who goes by the name of Georgie Eden to keep an eye on Tania and persuade her not to shoot her mouth off too much. I have never in all my life heard anything like this! These people may not have been engaged in a conspiracy, but the were certainly playing at secret agents a lot. So who is Georgie Eden, another close chum of Alison’s? There are clues.
Georgie Eden posted a bit on various lists, including the Badman review Action Group in November 2010. It is fairly clear that this person is not English. For example, he writes Ofsted as OFFsted. This suggests that he has only been given the name of the organisation over the telephone and is rendering it phonetically. I have actually never seen a literate English person write Ofsted like this. He talks of parents obtaining, ’ 'fast alleviation and
redress'. This is pure American legal jargon, which made me suspect at first that it was really Betsy Anderson. Georgie Eden also uses the word ‘tools’ to describe actions and strategies and refers to ‘home education facilitators’. Of course, Kelly Green uses both these expressions. On balance, I am guessing that Georgie Eden is American. Could it be somebody fairly well known, like Pat Faranga? I have an idea that this information too is heading for the public domain pretty soon!
What is very clear to me is that even when she had been fully informed about Christopher Warren’s background, Alison Sauer was still happy to keep in touch with him. She was apparently so keen to slag me off that she was prepared to ignore the fact that her correspondent was an abusive man who at the age of forty, seduced a fifteen year-old girl. This does not inspire confidence in somebody who is trying to alter the law relating to home edcuation in this country.

Such behaviour is like something we might expect from a sect or cult....
ReplyDeleteAlmost like no one is ever allowed to criticise the 'leaders' and must not question their 'doctrine'.
Since when do these people think that they own HE, all they've done is set up a website and took it upon themselves to cackhandedly meddle in politics.
Really, you must have led a very sheltered life if you think that this type of behaviour is unusual or cult-like. It's typical of any interest group, government or business I've seen in action.
ReplyDeleteNot so much sheltered, I'm endlessly amused by the stupidity of interest groups, governments and businesses.
ReplyDeleteIs Pat Farenga's the only American home educator name you know (other than Kelly Green's)? You don't even know his name that well as you've misspelled it. Oops. But seriously, why drag his name into it at all? I'm sure all this is beneath his notice.
ReplyDeleteAnd, for the record, I am quite relieved that I have never had a personal conversation with Jacqui Cox or else I might be reading a twisted version of it on this blog.
"Not so much sheltered, I'm endlessly amused by the stupidity of interest groups, governments and businesses."
ReplyDeleteSo do you think these interest groups, government and businesses are cult-like, or do you just reserve that for the odd home educator who happen to behave in the same way?
What is with this need to search out and name people who may or may not be involved with the guidelines? For goodness sake, does it really matter! Obviously some people feel it does but I don't get it. Alison Sauer 'assigned' someone to keep an eye on Tania Berlow? Really? Please! Are these people not adults with the ability to keep an eye on themselves. Even if it were true that Alison did this, would Tania listen to other influnces when she has her own mind and opinions.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you assume what you and Ms Berlow said was being reported back to others? And honestly was what you said so secret anyway?
And finally why would this Pat Farenga keep an eye on Tania Berlow if he lived in the US? I dont really understand how Jacqui Cox plays into this or why she feels the need to 'expose' people or what she serves to gain from this, its all a bit... I'm not sure what the word is.
Conspiracy theories and suggestions of cloak and dagger behaviour are all getting a little far-fetched now. I am really not understanding the need for speculation and recriminations.
Fact, if it needs to be presented, shouldn't be clouded in assumptions and second-guessing and I dont feel this blog post serves to bring anything useful to conversations about HE, which is the original reason I came to read this blog.
I know someone who works in education who spells it Ofstead and she's not American.
ReplyDeleteI really don't want to be here, I never have, so please stop posting rubbish.
ReplyDeleteSimon, much of what you say is as usual, fantasy. Could you pick a position and stick with it? One minute you can't see any reason for me to tell a lie, next minute I "may not be a completely reliable and objective witness..."
It is not pretty Simon to chuck a tanty just because I would not give you the Alison/Warren emails. See where you went wrong? You were being duplicitous, and trying to shame me into complying. Who does that remind me of? I despair! When will people get it?
Now let me say this S-L-O-W-L-Y and clearly so that you don't misunderstand. My comments about 'Georgie' were meant to illustrate the lengths some people will go to, NOT, and I say this quite categorically, that 'Georgie' had anything to do with CC Warren, he did not.
Also, let me say this equally slowly and clearly, Tania had absolutely no contact with CC Warren. Was that clear enough? NONE! Randomly including people in your fantasies is unfair Simon, but I suspect that doesn't bother you much hmm? You feel slighted.
And who the bl**dy h*ll is Pat Farenga? I have never heard of this person, and have no idea what if anything they have to do with Tania, or anyone else for that matter. Another one of Simon's fantasies. I know you fancy yourself a sleuth Simon, but you really should stick to your day job - you are abysmal at it.
@ 'C' ... I know you are struggling with this, and with me. May I suggest you ask Tania? I would hate for you to suffer a mischief because of me, especially in your condition. I am wondering why you are so pained by me. May I say that your personal stuff is safe with me. Anything you said then was personal and has nothing to do with this or anyone else. I am assuming it is that you are worried about? I am told that you have been out of the loop with what is going on. Though I am happy to accept that you simply may not like me.
Finally, I don't know Leaf Lovejoy, I have only ever read one thing that she wrote. She also has NO connection with CC Warren as far as I know. Did you have personal conversations with her Simon? I doubt it somehow, she is so much smarter and classier than either of us. An intellectual giant compared to your pygmy. Anyhoo, that is neither here nor there.
Ok, I am done here. I am going to follow my own advice, and stay away from this blog. If anyone has legitimate questions, feel free to contact me privately.
Bullsht.

ReplyDeleteFrom which I deduce that C is a former chum of both Jacquie Cox and Tania Berlow. I did not have any idea of this until Jacquie let it slip 'accidentally on purpose'! I am sorry to se her go, she is a mine of useful information.
Simon.
' especially in your condition'
ReplyDeleteWhat are we to make of this, I wonder? Is Jacquie hinting that C is pregnant or has some sort of medical problem? Interesting as the information was which she let slip so frequently, I cannot pretend to be entirely sorry that she has now left. There was a rather spiteful edge to some of her remarks and she was an alarming person for dropping other people's personal information casually into her comments; as with the remarks about C.
Simon.

ReplyDeleteHow does any of this arise out of C's comment?
Utterly lost.
'How does any of this arise out of C's comment?'
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't. It is a threat to C. She mentions C's condition and then assures her that other personal stuff is safe with her. The message is clear; I know a lot about you C and I can tell people all sorts of things if I wish.
Simon.
She could tell people what she knows about me. It would be very boring though, lol.
ReplyDeleteI read simon's comment and replied before realising my personal life was of such interest. Yes people I am pregnant, how incredibly scandalous!
ReplyDeleteWho do I know, or not-
Right well I met Tania over a year a go at a HE group, her daughter and mine know each other. She has talked to me about midwifery, pregnancy Do I 'know' her?Are we best friends? No, I dont know her hugely well. I know from Tania that she and Jacquie are friends. I have never met Jacqui and have no reason to dislike her though obviously the fact that she felt she wanted to comment on my condition and hint she knew stuff about me has upset me a lot. Do I know Alison Sauer - No I have never met her.
I know nothing about the guidelines other than Tania announced herself involved in the 'group' after GS announced there wasa group. I have kept out of it. Any business
My comments about any of this ridiculous secret group/guidelines/Georgie Eden is to illustrate that as the general public we dont KNOW what really goes on so speculation is pointless. I made no dig at any person other than Simon for claiming to know so much about Alisons, Jacquies, The 'secret groups', Tanias intentions. Everything I wrote was to say that it is none of our business, not that I have an affiliation with any one person. Any falling out between any person is none of my business. Any emails a person has receieve are none of my business. I dont intend to think the worse of any one or any situation without proof. I dont intend to make a comment on the guidelines circulating witohut seeing what is finally to be debated.
Is there anything else needs answering?
Why C, I think that you have covered all bases here! Congratulations on the pregnancy. I have an idea that Jacquie is something of a loose cannon who is simply firing off both barrels at anybody who moves. You evidently got in the way.
ReplyDeleteSimon.
Simon wrote Why C, I think that you have covered all bases here! Congratulations on the pregnancy. I have an idea that Jacquie is something of a loose cannon who is simply firing off both barrels at anybody who moves. You evidently got in the way.
ReplyDeleteThankyou very much.
And yes, I inadvertently seem to have gotten in the way by doing nothing other than enjoy an interesting debate or two.
I also wondered about Jacquie's comment about you. From previous posts it seemed you did not know her at all. Now it turns out that she knows your personal secrets?
ReplyDeleteIt strikes me C that you did not 'inadvertently' get in the way. Looking back through the archives we can see that you are a regular here. We can only assume from this fact that you are a supporter of Simon Webb's views. You never really say anything to openly criticize some of his more deluded points of view. You don't so much enjoy an interesting debate as pander to Simon Webb, which comes with it's own hazards. When it comes to Simon Webb there are no innocent bystanders.
Does anyone notice that there is only one account here that is consistent? Somebody said on another blog post here that this exposé makes you home educators look stupid. You do a damn good job without any help.
' We can only assume from this fact that you are a supporter of Simon Webb's views.'
ReplyDeleteActually, I have always thought that C's comments are a bit sharp towards me! She describes my posts as 'silly' or 'pointless' and criticises me for speculating about things. That she has been pandering to me is good news; I just have not noticed it. More research needed into this claim!
Simon.

It appears that they are lacking in that ability.
"Even if it were true that Alison did this, would Tania listen to other influnces when she has her own mind and opinions."
I don't know about that one either, a group of home educators were questioning her judgement on another list not that long ago, there seems to be a recurring theme.
C, you certainly gave the impression that you were good friends with Tania by defending her so loudly. Now you say you are not? Like Anon above said you seem to support Simon. You two appear to be in cahoots.
Compared to what most people say about you Simon that is lame.

Wow Simon you really are an idiot. If you pay closer attention you will notice that the only time she has ever lets anything slip is when it appears people are telling fibs. Like when she questioned your contact with C Warren and suddenly you have a 'hallelujah' moment and remember that YOU emailed HIM.
Like C here. She made it seem as though she was just an interested observer. If that is the case then why has she disclosed 'personal stuff' to a complete stranger? Like my fellow anonymous said, the only one who ever seems to stick to there story is Jacquie.
"It is not pretty Simon to chuck a tanty just because I would not give you the Alison/Warren emails. See where you went wrong? You were being duplicitous, and trying to shame me into complying. Who does that remind me of? I despair! When will people get it?"
ReplyDeleteAnd here too anonymous. It seems Simon tried to prise the infamous emails from her hands, and when she said no, he did a Mussolini, and swapped sides. It seems the idiocy knows no bounds. You are just 'chucking a tanty' as she says because she has you all by the tenders forcing you to be honest. Who needs pay TV? Is Jacquie Australian? Tanty is very Australian.
"because she has you all by the tenders forcing you to be honest."
ReplyDeleteHm. Is that the same thing as blackmail? "If you don't fall into line, then I'm going to reveal personal secrets about you, which I'm strongly hinting at here and there?" That sort of thing?
I quite like the phrase "chucking a tanty". I'm going to appropriate it for my own nefarious purposes (then people will think that I'm Australian when I post online).
Im not in cahoots with anyone. I am not a supporter of anyone. If I agree with someone I say so. If I dont, I say so.
ReplyDeleteThere is no issue between me and Jacquie, me and Simon, or me and anyone else. I dont know anyone to have an issue with.

ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely extraordinary.
C discusses HE issues calmly and in a neutral, non-judgemental way, asking questions, examining evidence. She has been a model of how to debate without hysteria and name-calling (like Julie and others) and that's apparently not acceptable to some.
What would be preferable? Custard pies?
Mmm. Custard.
