Fewer American home educators motivated by religion

Interesting piece from the National Centre for Education Statistics in the USA, suggesting that only 16% of home educating parents in America now have religion as their primary motivation for educating their children at home:

    I'm sure that this is true. I was interested though, because it might indicate that the typical American home educating parent is becoming more like those in this country. If that were to happen, then American research on academic achievement and so on, might have bearing on the situation in this country.
